The interaction between the two sets of chess pieces need a little
clarification.

Are the light-white pieces allowed to capture both light-black and
dark-black pieces? Are dark-white pieces allowed to capture both
light-black pieces and dark-black pieces?

If so, what is the purpose for the two-tone sets?
