On a cubic-cell board there are three types of Crowned Rook depending on whether the short-range moves added are in the Bishop's directions, the Unicorn's, or both. In my now-posted Tunnelshogi the first two appear as alternative promotions for the Rook on reaching the enemy camp, and the last as a further promotion should either return to its own camp. The piece depicted in the hex diagram first appears in the Wellisch variant.
