I identified one of the problems. It has been doing a security check on the IP address to make sure that the value recorded in the SESSION matches the value returned by the ipaddress() function. By commenting out this security check, I have bypassed that problem, but another problem remains. The SESSION is storing an empty value for my IP address even through ipaddress() is returning the correct IP address, and as a result, I am seeing times in UTC instead of in my own timezone. So I still have resolve that, then restore the security check I have temporarily disabled.
