Very strange, as the way the FireFox debugger numbers the lines in betzaNew.js there isn't an occurence of 'ranks' anywhere near line 964. Also not sure what this message "can't find" means; I was under the impression that any variable exists by default in JavaScript, and declaration is not needed. If it wasn't defined before it should just be taken to have value 'undefined'. This 'ranks' is the number of board ranks, though, and pretty much nothing of the script should work if it was truly undefined.
