2 variants:
In almost chess white player have marshall instead queen. So, variant, where ne of players have queen and cardinal (as in modern ches), other player have marshal and cardinal.
Makruk variant. Bishop is replaced with makruk nobleman (silver general), cardinal is replaced with knight-silver compound, pawns starts on 3rd rank, promotes on opponent's third rank to marshal and knight-silver only.
I would like to call this 'Frolov chess', but there is variant with same name (invented by someone with same last name :)), variant of kingchess, where all pieces must be dropped before making normal moves.
