Ajax chess has rule enforcing play and game records.
Duck chess can be played at chess.com if that counts.

Would it be a good idea to have the featured games be a recurring cycle so there's always something to feature next?

Aside from that, I'm wondering if there's any disadvantage to rotational symmetry compared with mirror symmetry. Does it encourage symmetric positions more? It seems less popular for some reason.

I would call this a collection too, and possible ajax. Yours all feel similar. The 9 rank board stands out more than anything else. It seems like this could easily be a different armies game as both players have the same of gryphon or manticore.

Does anyone know what this "leaps N squares and M over" means?

I understand those as 3,1 3,2 and 4,1 leaps. The Nightknight is ambiguous. Without further clarification, I would guess it's NaN.
