This looks like fun... BUT: Rule 4 says, 'The goal for the Jedi is to eliminate checkmate the Sith Master.' Should I delete 'eliminate' and go with the result?

Yes. I believe that was originally 'eliminate or checkmate', though. I
purposely allowed several variants to balance the game between players of
different strengths. That's because I have kids whose ages range from 10
to 19. They're all challenged and entertained.

Personally, I prefer the more cutthroat variant where no quarter is
given.

In Wkipedia CV i saw another game, called 'jedi chess': knights are
replaced with jedis (players must chose, wich jedis they will use before
playing): jedi paddawans (archbishops) - B+N, jedi knights (chanselors) -
R+N or jedi masters (amazones) - Q+N. There is also some variants of rules
of circular game, played by Chewbaca and C3PO:

I overlooked this variant when it was first posted, but now that I look at it in detail, I find it off that the Padawan (the lowest rank of Jedi if I remember rightly) is represented by something as strong as the Rook. It would make more sense to represent it as the piece weaker than the Knight, the Pawn - the letters of which even occur in Padawan in the correct order! Does anyone know if the etymology (real-life rather than storyline) of Padawan is connected with Pawn? There have certainly been stranger derivations of Star Wars names than that!
