As far as I can see the newest version (7.1, Feb. 2004) works fine. Don't forget to download the help-file as well. ChessBase? What's that?

I have been learning chess assistant light. It takes some doing considering that the actual CA comes with a 100 pg manual. What I have encounterd is great, but I have one concern. How the heck do you classify the ECO for the game against engine? Any help?
