Being allowed to nominate one's own game opens interest up to players who may have invented a long forgotten (or overlooked game)... and, unless it happens to get 4 vetoes it sees the light of day. To see an event with, for example, 8 players, each of who have brought 1 game to the table of their own design would be interesting, I think.
